Vlissingen beach where dogs are not allowed from 1 May to 17 September; the rest of the year they may run free everywhere.

According to the municipality of Vlissingen, dogs are not allowed on the Nollestrand (like on the Badstrand, Bankert and De Ruyter) from 1 May up to and including 16 September. An exception applies to a recognised assistance or guide dog, whose owner must still pick up its waste. From 17 September up to and including 30 April, dogs are allowed off the leash on all Vlissingen beaches, day and night. The dog's owner or keeper must always remove the waste themselves. Anyone wanting to bring a dog to the beach at Vlissingen in summer can go to the Zwanenburgstrand or Westduin, where a seasonal rule with a daytime leash requirement applies.
