Official dog beach of the municipality of Vlissingen: off-leash in the evening/night in summer, off-leash all day on all beaches in winter.

The municipality of Vlissingen designates the beach between Nollestrand and Westduin (Zwanenburg beach) and the adjoining Westduin as the two beaches where dogs are allowed during the swimming season. From 1 May to 16 September, dogs must be on a leash between 10:00 and 19:00, but may run off-leash from 19:00 to 10:00. From 17 September to 30 April, dogs may run off-leash all day on all Vlissingen beaches (so also Zwanenburg/Westduin). On the other Vlissingen beaches (boulevard beaches, Nollestrand), dogs are not allowed during the swimming season, except guide dogs. Parking is available at the Zwanenburg car park (Zwanenburg 1), from where it's about a 300-metre walk to the beach via a paved path across the dunes. Clean-up required at all times.
