De Hoge Veluwe is an extensive national park with heathland, forests and sand drifts, accessible with an entry ticket. The park applies a strict dog policy: dogs may only come along if physically on a leash (electronic leashes are not allowed), and are not permitted in the buildings, except for the Park Restaurant and the Park Shop. There is no off-leash option.
