Egmond aan Zee beach: off-leash everywhere in winter; in summer off-leash before 10:00 and after 19:00.

According to the municipality of Bergen, the summer season runs from 1 May to 1 October and the winter season from 1 October to 1 May. In winter, dogs may run free anywhere on the beach. In summer your dog may run free on the beach before 10:00 and after 19:00. Dogs on a leash are always allowed in summer on the activity beaches; on a sunbathing beach or the naturist beach, even dogs on a leash are not allowed between 10:00 and 19:00. New beach rules have been announced for 2027.
