Off-leash area in Gaasperpark; at the Gaasperplas lake itself, dogs are banned from 15 April to 15 October.

On Amsterdam's official dog map, part of Gaasperpark is designated as an off-leash area all year round. At the Gaasperplas lake itself a separate ban zone applies, from 15 April up to and including 15 October, which according to the map falls under Groengebied Amstelland (not the municipality of Amsterdam). Outside the off-leash areas, a dog must be on a leash in Amsterdam.
