Erkemederstrand in Zeewolde has a dog beach of around 1.5 kilometres along the Nuldernauw and a 5-kilometre dike that also serves as an off-leash area. Dogs may run off-leash here year-round and swim freely; the water deepens gradually, making it suitable for dogs learning to swim. Dog showers, bins and (when in stock) free poop bags are available. Parking is available on site by the recreational lake (paid). Right next to the beach is beach pavilion De Jutter with a special dog bar.
