Off-leash area in the Elsenburgerbos, except for a small field near the pond (which stays off-limits to dogs).

According to the official implementation regulation of the municipality of Rijswijk (4 March 2025, in force since 14 March 2025), the whole Elsenburgerbos is an off-leash area, except for the elongated open field in front of the pond, next to the 'heuvelring' — that part remains off-limits to dogs. The forest is part of the Stadsparkzone around the A4 motorway in south Rijswijk, together with the Hoekpolder and Wilhelminapark. Within the built-up area a dog must be on a leash in Rijswijk; not in the off-leash areas.
