Dierenopvangcentrum Gouda is part of Dierenbescherming (the Dutch animal welfare society) and takes in dogs and cats from Gouda and the surrounding area, both strays and surrendered pets. Besides shelter and rehoming (via 'Ik Zoek Baas'), the centre also offers help finding lost pets, a cat-cuddling project, a dog-walking service and foster care. Note: this is a shelter organisation, not an independent veterinary practice — the name 'Dierenasiel Midden Holland' appears outdated; the organisation now calls itself 'Dierenopvangcentrum Gouda'.
