Dog beach on the IJmeer, near the Hollandse Brug, with an off-leash strip of about 500 metres.

The Almeerderstrand lies along the IJmeerdijk, on the north side of the Hollandse Brug (A6). Beyond the toilet cabins begins a clear stretch of about 500 metres up to the railway embankment, where dogs may run off-leash year-round and swim in the IJmeer. Parking is available along the IJmeerdijk, about a five-minute walk from the beach.
